My Writing

In writing I have been learning to:

• use all basic punctuation independently
• attempt more complex punctuation (eg semicolons, colons, parentheses)

I have been especially focussing on using parentheses and commas. I have highlighted these in green where I have used them as well as other punctuation that I changed because it was used incorrectly. Here is a piece of my writing that shows this.

What is leadership ?

Leadership is a skill of being able to motivate people/teams to work towards a goal.There is 6 leadership traits they are Intergrity, motivational, Trustworthy, Resilient, goal focused and Active thinking.My leadership role for 2017 is pals.I play games.There are three main traits to being a good pal.

Water cycle writing.

This is my water cycle information report.The writing is about the water cycle the key stages are evaporation, precipitation, condensation and runoff.Fact evaporation is an invisible process.

                  Short Story

Woosh! Jr was woken up by the waves against the sand and rocks .Jamieson the dog barked and woke Kaya the pig up at the same time, they all got up and went for a walk across the beach.Then they discovered that the waves were getting really close to the house, and went closer immediately they got wet and sprinted back to the house.They packed as much as they could like dog food, pig food, normal food and clothes.Then they set off to find a new house, but then they remembered that they needed money so he went looking for a job in the city.The next day he got up from the street, and went looking .Finally, after two hours of looking he found a job at Mc donalds standing at the register.2 days later he has enough money from saving and his job.He went looking for a house.He came across a nice looking house, he only had 200,000 dollars to spend the house he was looking at was 180,000 dollars he looked around and bought the house.He spent 20,000 on furniture and food, now Jr is 18 and his new house is holding up well for him.

Barack Obama and Richie Mc caw

Barack obama is respected by people and respects others.Richie Mc caw is good at public speaking but Barack obama is better because he can use stronger words.

HOW DO YOU CREATE LIFT ?

Introduction

To start to fly you need speed and thrust. When you take off you create lift to start to fly. I am going to tell you how to create lift.

The forces acting on a plane are thrust , lift , drag and weight. Thrust makes the plane move forward to create lift. Drag and weight allow the plane to fly in a stable way. Drag and weight  help land your plane, when you create drag you create weight .

You need speed to create lift and wings are different shapes and sizes. Some wings have propellers on them so it creates more  thrust. Other ones have flaps to create drag and to be able to turn and stay balanced.

Air pressure can be used in different ways. Air pressure is when you are flying  and go up. Air pressure is bad when you need to land quickly because the air pushes you up.

To create lift you need speed and thrust.If you have the right body and wings you create air pressure and you can fly.
