HOW DO YOU CREATE LIFT ?
Introduction
To start to fly you need speed and thrust. When you take off you create lift to start to fly. I am going to tell you how to create lift.

The forces acting on a plane are thrust , lift , drag and weight. Thrust makes the plane move forward to create lift. Drag and weight allow the plane to fly in a stable way. Drag and weight  help land your plane, when you create drag you create weight .

You need speed to create lift and wings are different shapes and sizes. Some wings have propellers on them so it creates more  thrust. Other ones have flaps to create drag and to be able to turn and stay balanced.

Air pressure can be used in different ways. Air pressure is when you are flying  and go up. Air pressure is bad when you need to land quickly because the air pushes you up.

To create lift you need speed and thrust. If you have the right body and wings you create air pressure and you can fly.

HERO WRITING
SHAUN JOHNSON

INTRODUCTION
Shaun Johnson is the fastest player in the Warriors. I am going to be talking about why he is my hero what he did growing up and his sports career.

Shaun Johnson was born in Auckland on September 9 1990. He went to Orewa College and played Basketball, Rugby and Australian Rules Football.

Shaun Johnson played for the Hibiscus Coast Raiders before being signed up for the Warriors in 2009. Shaun Johnson started in the Junior Kiwis in 2010 and in the 4 Nations in 2013. He also started in the Warriors in the same year.

Shaun Johnson is my hero because he shows a lot of resilience like when they lost against the Roosters he just kept trying to stop them from scoring by tackling them hard.

My main point is Shaun Johnson is the person I look up to. He is like me when things get hard he keeps going like me and when I am older I will take his place.
